Cheering Squad

While on the hunt for a feature photo for the next days paper, I came across over 40 elementary school students on a field trip to cheer on one of their teachers who was racing in the men's 40-plus non-championship race for the USA Cyclo-cross National Championships at Badger Prairie Park in Verona, Wisconsin.

The teacher's last minute decision to compete in the race was for the kids. “I thought it'd be good for them to see me out of context, doing something that I love to do, but I'm not necessarily good at,” he said. “Trying my best, having fun. It's very similar to what I ask them to do each day."

Another great picture and great story! Just another teacher practicing what he preaches!

Physical activity is indeed P-R-I-C-E-L-E-S-S! Good for him, we need more like him!
